In this prevalent period of transition that our Region has been going through, transition in the economic, political and social aspects of life, a period never known to our society before, I stand against the blind belief that market will correct everything.

I consider that to be a naive post- communist outbreak. I do not believe in the magic power of market’s mechanisms or in market identification with the ideology of meaning of life.

I understand the Albanian economy as a mechanism, which has perfected and created its own identity through centuries and as such is closer to a human nature.

As an economist and an Albanian industrialist, I embarked on my commercial journey in the Albanian post – 1991 economic environment. During that time I was creating my own vision about the overall development and the future of the Region; vision filled with optimism but above all based on essential human resources, exploitable oil and minerals, investing in renewable energy resources and bypassing the harmful impact on the environment. Based on that vision I prepared an economic projection, published in my monograph   “Quo vadis Albania?” as a Vision of the Economic Recovery Program of Albania.

As a company, we believe that we bear the capacity in anticipating the economic dynamic in the Region, by means of various business activities channeled through highly-qualified employees educated at Albanian, European and US Universities. Our company makes use of qualified human resources and exploits the best international experience whenever needed. VeVe Group has also dedicated itself in attracting capital investments into Albania and wider region like Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro. These investments will predominantly be deployed in the food, energy, infrastructure and tourism industries, some of the most successful future domains at this corner of the world.

VeVe Group not only represents my business endeavors but it is indeed my work towards setting the foundations of a free democratic and economic society.

What counts is not to be overwhelmed by the optimism or the pessimism, but determination to act fast to the challenges of the market’s perpetual changes. Only those enterprises that closely examine themselves in their actions or their involvement ahead and take appropriate measures will be successful. We strive to be those visionaries.
